This Office Memorandum from the Department of Personnel & Training addresses the continuation of ad-hoc appointments in the Steno Grade ‘C’ of the Central Secretariat Stenographers Service (CSSS). Due to anticipated delays in regular recruitment, the term of existing ad-hoc appointments is extended for a further six months, up to March 31, 2009, or until regular Stenographers Grade ‘C’ become available, whichever comes first. Existing terms and conditions of the appointments remain unchanged, and a Hindi version of the memorandum will follow. This communication is directed to all cadres of the CSSS.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Sub: Continuance ad-hoc appointments in Steno Grade ‘C’ of CSSS reg.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M of even no. dated 28.9.2007 and O.M. No. 5/4/2007-CS.II dated 2.9.2007 and 4.4.2008 on the subject mentioned above and to say that further continuance of these ad-hoc appointments has been reviewed in this Department. Since availability of regular Stenos Grade ‘C’ of CSSS through normal modes of recruitment prescribed under CSSS Rules may take some more time, it has been decided that the term of ad-hoc appointments made/continued in the Steno Grade ‘C’ of CSSS vide this Department’s above mentioned OMs, may be extended for a further period of six months i.e. upto 31.3.2009 or till regular Stenos Grade ‘C’ of CSSS become available, whichever is earlier.
