This Office Memorandum from the Department of Personnel & Training addresses the continuation of ad-hoc appointments in the PS Grade of the Central Secretariat Service (CSSS). Due to anticipated delays in regular recruitment through standard CSSS Rules, the term of existing ad-hoc appointments will be extended until December 31, 2011, or until regular PS officers become available, whichever comes first. Existing terms and conditions of previous appointments remain in effect, and a Hindi version of this memorandum will be released. This impacts all cadre units of CSSS.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: – Continuance of ad-hoc appointments in PS Grade of CSSS reg.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 11^{th } January, 2011 on the subject mentioned above and to say that further continuance of these ad-hoc appointments have been reviewed in this Department. Since availability of regular PS of CSSS through normal modes of recruitment prescribed under the CSSS Rules may take some more time, it has been decided that the term of ad-hoc appointments in the PS Grade of CSSS may be extended for a further period upto 31.12 .2011 or till regular PS of CSSS become available, whichever is earlier.
- Other terms and conditions mentioned in the O.M. of even number dated 31.05-2006 will remain unchanged.
