OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Vigilance Status in respect of Sr.PPS (ad-hoc) – For the purpose of continuance/extension and consideration of ad-hoc promotion and PPS for consideration of their cases for grant of ad-hoc promotion -reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. No. 2/5/2017-CS-II(A) dated 28.12.2018, regarding promotion of Principal Private Secretaries (PPSs) of the CSSS to the grade of Sr. Principal Private Secretary (Sr.PPS) on ad-hoc basis. The matter regarding continuation/extension of the ad-hoc promotion of Sr.PPS beyond 30.06.2019 is under consideration. Cases of PPSs in respect of whom ad-hoc promotion was withheld as per para 9 of the aforesaid OM are also under consideration.

  1. A list of officers who have been promoted on ad-hoc basis to the grade of PPS in the last one year and whom cases are to be considered for ad-hoc promotion is given in the Annexure. The list does not contain the names of officers who have already been granted regular promotion and included in SLY-2017 of Sr.PPS.

  2. The Cadre Units, where the incumbents are currently working, are requested to verify the list and furnish the names of the officers in respect of whom the following information is attracted:

    i. Details of officers against whom disciplinary proceedings has been initiated/contemplated during the last one year;

    ii. Whether any penalty has been imposed during the last one year;

  3. A certificate to the effect that the remaining officers in the list for a particular cadre units are clear from vigilance angle need be furnished. If no information is received from any cadre unit in respect of para-3 above, further action for continuation/extension of the ad-hoc promotion of PPS beyond 30.06.2019 will be taken without any further reminder. Therefore, the instruction may kindly be scrupulously followed.

  4. The information, if any, as sought in para-3 above may also be furnished on or before 25.06.2019 through email at dinesh.d13@nic.in.
