OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Appointment to the post of Senior Principal Private Secretary (Sr.PPS) of CSSS in the Pay Band -3 (RS.15600-39100/-) + Grade Pay of Rs.7600/- for the Select List Years 2008 & 2009.
The undersigned is directed to forward herewith, Select List for the years 2008 & 2009 (Annexure I & II to this O.M.) prepared in accordance with sub rule (2) of Rule 7 of Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service (Senior Principal Private Secretary) Rules, 2000 for appointment to the post of Senior Principal Private Secretary of CSSS.
- All concerned cadre authorities of CSSS, where the officers are working, are requested to relieve the officer to join the cadres where they have been nominated without waiting for a substitute to enable them avail their regular promotion to Sr.PPS Grade of CSSS provided they are clear from vigilance angle and no disciplinary proceeding are either pending or being contemplated against them. The order of seniority of these officers in the grade of Sr.PPS of CSSS will follow the serial order given in the enclosed annexure, irrespective of actual dates of appointment to the post of Sr.PPS.
- In terms of instructions contained in DoP&T’s O.M. No.22011/4/98Estt.(D) dated 12.10.1998 the appointments of retired officers need not be notified on their inclusion in the relevant Select List on promotion because promotions can take place prospectively and retired persons would not be available to avail the actual promotion from a prospective date.
- A copy of the notification issued in this regard may be endorsed to this Department and Union Public Service Commission.
