Exciting news for government aspirants! A recent directive from the Ministry of Personnel confirms the nomination of four deserving candidates for the PA Grade of the Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service (CSSS) for the Select List Year 2016. This follows the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) held in 2016, where despite an initial intimation of 360 tentative vacancies, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) ultimately recommended these four individuals for promotion.
This marks a significant step in their careers, as their promotions are now officially approved. Before the final appointments are notified, the respective cadre units are tasked with a crucial step: meticulously verifying all particulars provided by the nominated candidates against their original service records and obtaining a vigilance clearance. This ensures transparency and adherence to due process.
For those who didn’t make the cut this year, there’s still hope. Any unfilled vacancies from this examination, including those specifically reserved for SC and ST categories, will be carried forward to the subsequent Select List Year, in strict accordance with the CSSS Rules of 2010. Cadre Units are also responsible for formally including these nominated candidates in the 2016 Select List for PA Grade of CSSS and endorsing their appointment orders to the Department of Personnel & Training and the SSC, with their dossiers becoming a permanent part of their service history. This ensures a structured and fair progression within government service.

Subject: Nomination of qualified candidates of PA Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), 2016-reg.
The undersigned is directed to say that this Department had intimated 360 tentative vacancies (UR-277, SC-51 and ST-32) for PA Grade LDCE-2016 to Staff Selection Commission (SSC). However, against the said reported vacancies, SSC has recommended 4 candidates (UR-4) for appointment to PA Grade for Select List Year-2016 on the basis of results of the above mentioned examination. 4 candidates have been recommended by SSC for inclusion in Select List of Grade ‘C’ (PA Grade) stenographers of CSSS. Approval of the competent authority is hereby conveyed to the promotion of the said 4 candidates, subject to the condition mentioned in Para below, to the PA Grade of CSSS for SLY-2016. List of qualified candidates who are being promoted is at Annexure-I.
- The cadre units are requested to ensure the followings before notifying the appointments:
(i) Verification of the particulars furnished by the nominated candidates in the dossiers with the original entries in their respective Service Books.
(ii) Vigilance Clearance.
- The unfilled vacancies of this examination, including vacancies reserved for SCs and STs, would be carried forward to the subsequent Select List Year in accordance with CSSS Rules, 2010.
- The concerned Cadre Units are requested that nominated candidates be included in the Select List of PA Grade of CSSS for the year 2016 in the manner indicated in the CSSS Rules, 2010. Copies of appointment orders may be endorsed to this Department and SSC. The dossiers of nominated candidates are forwarded herewith for keeping the same as part of their service books.
