This Office Memorandum, issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, extends the seniority range for Stenographers Grade ‘C’ in the General Category. It details the inclusion of unabsorbed Grade ‘C’ stenographers and those up to S.No. 328 from the 1989 Common Seniority List for promotion to Stenographers Grade ‘A&B’ (Merged) of CSSS for the Select List year 2005. Six officers have been nominated in order of seniority for this promotion, and their services are to be obtained from their respective cadres after suitability and vigilance clearance. Urgent action is requested for their appointment, and a copy of the Select List is to be forwarded to the Department. Existing terms and conditions from a previous O.M. dated 5.11.2008 remain unchanged.

Subject :- Fixation of Range of Seniority for promotion from Steno Gr.’C’to Steno Gr. ‘A&B'(Merged) of CSSS-Select List-2005-reg.
In continuation this Department’s O.M. of even no. dated 15.2.2008 on the above mentioned subject, the undersigned is directed to say that it has been decided to extend the range of seniority in respect of the Stenos Grade ‘C’ belonging to General Category prescribed therein, as under:-
| General: | All unabsorbed Stenos Grade ‘C’ of the previous zones and Stenos Grade ‘C’ upto S.No.328 in the Common Seniority List-1989 in respect of Steno Grade ‘C’ of CSSS, issued by this Department through O.M.No.20/33/2005-CS.II dated 10.5.2006. |

- The services of these officers may be obtained from the cadres concerned immediately provided they have been considered suitable by the DPC of that Ministry/Department and subject to vigilance clearance.
- It is requested that urgent action may be taken to appoint these officers to the Steno Grade ‘A&B’ (Merged) of CSSS against the Select List 2005. A copy of the Select List issued in this regard by the cadres may be forwarded to this Department in due course.
- Other terms and conditions mentioned in this Department O.M. of even number dated 5.11.2008 will remain unchanged.
