OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Recruitment of Stenographers Grade ‘D’ in CSSS through Stenographers Grade ‘C’ \& ‘D’ Examination, 2016 conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) – nomination of qualified candidates – reg.
In continuation of this Department’s OM No.6/1/2018-CSII(C)Volume(2) dated 12.06.2018 on the above mentioned subject, 5 more Stenographers Grade ‘D’ are nominated to different cadre units of CSSS as listed in the Annexure to this OM.

  1. As per the Cadre Training Plan issued by Training Division vide their OM No.T-25017/1/2015-Trg (ISTM Section) dated 04.07.2016, “the candidates who qualify Grade ‘D’ Stenographers Examination conducted by SSC would be directly nominated to Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) for undergoing foundational training course and after their successful completion, the candidates would be nominated to various Ministries/Departments by the DoP\&T”.

  2. Due to various reasons, they did not attend the Foundation Training programme at ISTM w.e.f. 23.04 .2018 to 15.06 .2018 . With the approval of competent authority in this Department, 5 Stenographers Grade ‘D’ are being nominated to Ministries/Departments as in para (1) above subject to the following:-
    i. They would be nominated for the next first batch of the Induction Training for Stenographers Grade ‘D’ which they have to compulsorily attend and complete.
    ii. Their probation period will not be confirmed in the post till such time they successfully complete the mandatory Induction Training programme for Stenographers Grade ‘D’.

  3. In case, any document of the official concerned is not available in the dossier, the same will be followed up by the respective cadre units from the concerned authority.

  4. All the concerned cadre units of CSSS are requested to ensure that in case some staff have been outsourced for stenographic assistance by showing the vacancies of Stenographers Grade ‘D’, the same may be reduced
    proportionately keeping in view the number of Stenographers Grade ‘D’ nominated to the respective cadre units. The Financial Adviser of all the concerned cadre units are also requested to ensure that outsourced stenographic assistance is proportionately reduced as and when the nominated Stenographers Grade ‘D’ join in the Cadre Unit.
