A significant administrative development is underway for various government departments. This initiative addresses the career progression of dedicated public servants by formalizing appointments to newly created senior positions. These roles, designated as Principal Staff Officers, come with an enhanced pay scale and are crucial for strengthening the administrative backbone across different ministries and departments. The selection process ensures that only eligible and vetted officers, primarily existing Senior Private Secretaries, are considered, upholding principles of merit and integrity. This move not only recognizes the expertise of these officers but also streamlines the operational efficiency of various government functions by placing experienced personnel in leadership roles. Departments are now tasked with implementing these upgrades and formalizing the new appointments, ensuring a smooth transition and continuous effective governance.
