OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Details of incumbency in the Selection and Sr. Selection Grade of CSS.
The undersigned is directed to say that at times this Department is faced with a situation where officers due for promotion to Selection and Sr. Selection Grade of CSS have less than 6 months to retire and have to be retained in the same Ministry/Department. In such situations, this Department is required to consider rotational transfer of officers who have completed more than 5 years in that Ministry/Department before the officer under promotion, having less than 6 months to retire, is retained in that Ministry/Department.
- This Department had invited particulars of officers in various grades in different Ministries/Departments in April, 2009. With the passage of time, much of the information has become redundant due to change in incumbency every month. It has, therefore, been decided to update the same especially in the grades of Under Secretary and upwards. This would also facilitate retention/rotation of officers without their having to submit their profile and preferences afresh.
- All the Ministries/Departments are requested to forward names of officers, who have completed five years in their present Ministry/Department, in the following proforma, Grade wise, by e-mail either to the undersigned at dscs1-dopt@nic.in or to Shri Ravindra Kumar, Under Secretary, CS.I(D) at ravindra1959@rediffmail.com or ravindra59@gmail.com at the earliest.
