Extension of Ad-hoc Appointments of Under Secretaries

The Indian government’s Department of Personnel & Training has issued an order extending the tenure of ad-hoc appointments for Under Secretaries. This extension applies to officers covered under previous DoPT orders, specifically those dated May 26, 2010, and subsequent related orders. The tenure is extended by six months, until June 30, 2016, or until the positions are filled on a regular basis, whichever comes first. The continuation of these ad-hoc promotions is contingent upon adhering to the conditions outlined in the aforementioned departmental orders. ORDER

With the approval of the Competent Authority, the tenure of ad-hoc appointment of Under Secretaries covered under DoPT’s order No.5/3/2010-CS.I(U) dated 26.05.2010 and subsequent several orders is hereby extended for another six months beyond 31.12.2015 i.e. upto 30.06.2016 or till the posts are filled up on regular basis, whichever is earlier.

  1. This order will be applicable to all such officers who are continuously holding the post of Under Secretary on ad-hoc basis as per aforementioned orders. The continuation of the ad-hoc promotion beyond 31.12.2015 is subject to the conditions as mentioned in this Department’s aforementioned orders.
