Extension of Ad-hoc Appointments of Under Secretaries

The Ministry of Personnel, PG and Pensions has decided not to extend the ad-hoc appointments of eleven Under Secretaries beyond June 30, 2022. These officers are serving in various ministries and departments including Food & Public Distribution, Housing & Urban Affairs, UPSC, Health & Family Welfare, Social Justice, Revenue, Consumer Affairs, DIPAM, and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. This order references a previous order from July 2, 2021, regarding the initial ad-hoc appointments.

ORDER

Reference is invited to this Department’s Order of even number dated 2nd July, 2021, continuing the tenure of ad-hoc appointment in respect of serving Under Secretaries for a period of one year beyond 30.06.2021 i.e. up to 30.06.2022 or till their regular appointment as Under Secretary or till further orders, whichever is earlier.

  1. It has been decided by the Competent Authority that there shall be no further extension in the ad-hoc appointment of the following officers beyond 30.06.2022:
