This Office Memorandum addresses the extension of time for officers promoted to the Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary) on an ad hoc basis. Initially, officers were required to assume charge by June 14, 2014. The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change requested an extension for two officers, citing ongoing important work. However, the competent authority has denied this request, and officers are now directed to assume charge by June 30, 2014, failing which their promotion will be cancelled. The memorandum emphasizes the importance of adhering to the stipulated deadline and ensuring compliance with the directions.
