OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Sub: Select List of Section Officers’ Grade for the year 2006, 2007 and 2008 against Examination Quota on the basis of Combined Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2006, 2007 and 2008 held by the Union Public Service Commission.
The undersigned is directed to say that a large number of requests have been received from various cadre units and individual officers for retention/change of posting consequent on the allotment made by this Division vide OM of even number dated 27th October, 2011 in the Section Officers’ grade of Central Secretariat Service (CSS) on the basis of the results of the Combined SOs/Stenographers(Gr.’B’/Gr.’I’) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2006, 2007 and 2008 conducted by UPSC.
- The cadre unit authorities were requested to ensure that the officers concerned are relieved within 45 days from the date of issue of this OM to take up the new posting in the cadre unit allocated, failing which their appointment/promotion shall be cancelled and the dossier(s) of the candidate(s) concerned returned to the UPSC.

Some of the Ministries/Departments have requested for retention of the officers within the same cadre unit and not relieved the officers till date. The requests of Ministries/Departments/individual officers have been considered in this Division and the competent authority have found it not feasible to accede to the requests for retention/re-allocation of these officers. All the concerned cadre units who have not yet relieved the officers included in the SL 2006, 2007 & 2008 of Central Secretariat Service (CSS) on the basis of the results of the Combined SOs/Stenographers(Gr.’B’/Gr.’I’) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2006, 2007 and 2008 conducted by UPSC are requested to relieve the officers concerned to join the their new place of posting immediately.
