Subject: Placement of SC/ST officers belonging Central Secretariat Service in appropriate Deputy Secretary Select Lists in consequence of their placement in respective revised Under Secretary Select Lists.

The undersigned is directed to say that in pursuance of order of the Hon’ble CAT (PB), New Delhi dated 30.11.2004 in O.A. No. 991/2003 21 SC/ST officers have been placed in appropriate previous years’ Select Lists of Grade I of CSS (Under Secretary) vide this Department’s order No. 5/18/2012-CS.I (U) dated $26^{\text {th }}$ June, 2015 by giving the benefit of the third proviso to Rule 12(2) of erstwhile CSS Rules 1962. Their placement in the earlier US SLs necessitated review of their cases for placements in the next higher grade of Deputy Secretary.
2. Consequently, a review DPC was held on $26^{\text {th }}$ February, 2016 and on its recommendations, the competent authority has approved inclusion of the names of the officers in appropriate Select Lists of CSS Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary) as under:-
