In an ongoing effort to streamline government functions, a significant exercise is underway for the third cadre restructuring of the Central Secretariat Service. This initiative involves various cadre units being asked to furnish their specific requirements for posts at the Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary, and Section Officer levels, complete with detailed justifications and necessary approvals. While an initial deadline was set in late 2017, several units are yet to provide the crucial information needed to finalize this restructuring. A final call has been issued, urging all outstanding units to submit their data by January 19, 2018. Failure to comply by this date will result in the assumption that those specific units have no further requirements, and decisions regarding the restructuring will proceed without their input.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: 3rd Cadre Restructuring of Central Secretariat Service (CSS) – reg.
This is with reference to this Department’s OM of even number, dated 11.09. 2017, 6.11.2017 and 13.12.2017 on the subject mentioned above vide which all the Cadre Units of CSS were requested to send the requirement of posts in the grade of Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary and Section Officer with full justification and with the approval of the concerned Minister-in-charge to this Department latest by $26^{\text {th }}$ December, 2017.
2. Requisite information from some of the Cadre Units are still awaited. The remaining cadre units (list enclosed) are once again requested to send the aforesaid information to this Department immediately and latest by $19^{\text {th }}$ January 2018.
3. In case no inputs are received by the $19^{\text {th }}$ January, it will be presumed that there is no specific requirement of a particular cadre units and decision will be taken by this Department accordingly.
