In a significant move addressing long-standing personnel concerns, the government has finalized the allocation of several Police Radio Department staff members. This decision stems from a High Court directive from 2007, which prompted a thorough review of representations from these employees. A dedicated committee meticulously examined each case, considering individual grounds for requests that often cited family health issues, property ownership in Uttar Pradesh, and lengthy service in the state. However, the committee’s findings consistently pointed to one critical factor: all the personnel in question were domiciled in Uttarakhand. Consequently, the various personal circumstances presented did not align with the established reorganisation guidelines. As a result, the requests for reallocation to Uttar Pradesh were declined, and the affected staff will continue their service in the successor State of Uttarakhand. This brings clarity to the status of these employees, upholding the framework established during the state’s reorganisation.
