Extension of Term for Uttar Pradesh State Advisory Committee Chairman

The Central Government has extended the term of Shri Vishwanath Anand as Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh. This extension, granted under Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000, allows the committee to continue assisting the Central Government in matters concerning State Government employees, excluding All India Services. The new term will be effective until March 31, 2006, or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first. The appointment terms for the Chairman will remain unchanged. This order is a continuation of a previous order dated June 21, 2005.

ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000 and in continuation of this Department’s order of even number dated $21^{\text {st }}$ June, 2005, the Central Government is pleased to extend the term of the State Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh under the Chairmanship of Shri Vishwanath Anand (IAS:UP:1965 – Retired) to assist the Central Government in discharging its functions with regard to the State Government employees, other than All India Services, till $31^{\text {st }}$ March, 2006 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The terms of the appointment of the Chairman shall remain unchanged.
