The Central Government has appointed Shri S.A.T. Rizvi, IAS (Retd.), as the Chairman of the State Advisory Committee for Uttar Pradesh. This committee will assist the Central Government in matters related to the allocation of state government employees, excluding All India Services. The appointment is effective from January 1, 2008, for a period of one year or until further notice. The terms of engagement include eligibility for travel and daily allowances, telephone, and transport facilities, along with a consolidated fee, honorarium for support staff, and necessary office facilities. The composition of the committee includes Chief Secretaries of successor states, a representative from the Department of Personnel & Training, and an officer coordinating the Re-organisation Cell in Uttar Pradesh.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2000 the Central Government is pleased to appoint Shri S.A.T. Rizvi, IAS (Retd. U.P: 1965) as the Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh to assist the Central Government in discharging its functions with regard to allocation of the State Government employees, other than All India Services, w.e.f. $1^{\text {st }}$ January 2008 for a period of one year or till further orders whichever is earlier.
2. The terms of the appointment of Shri S.A.T. Rizvi as the Chairman of State Advisory Committee are enclosed.
3. The composition of the State Advisory Committee would be as under:
a. Shri S.A.T. Rizvi
Chairman
b. Chief Secretaries of the successor States or their
Members
nominees not below the rank of Secretary to the State Governments, representing the State Governments.
c. Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel \& Training
Member
or his nominee not below the rank of Deputy Secretary to the Govt. of India, representing Central Government
d. An officer not below the rank of Secretary to the State
Member Secretary

The services of Shri S.A.T. Rizvi will be available with the Central Government, to serve as Chairman of the State Advisory Committee.
- Shri S.A.T. Rizvi shall hold the said appointment for a period of one year w.e.f. the date of issue of appointment orders.
- Shri Rizvi shall be eligible for Traveling Allowance and Daily Allowance at the rates admissible under the Central Government Rules to the Officers of his rank and status and also the normal facilities of telephone and transport: and
- Shri Rizvi will act in accordance with the Guidelines issued by the Central Government (Department of Personnel \& Training) regarding constitution of State Advisory Committee issued vide letter No.28/01/2000-SR(S) dated 21/22.12.2000.
- During the period of the office, Shri Rizvi will be admissible for the following:-
(i) The consolidated fee of Rs.13000/- (Rupees Thirteen Thousand) p.m. (fixed).
(ii) Honorarium of Rs.3000/- p.m. and Rs.1000/- p.m. to PPS and Peon respectively.
(iii) Necessary office facility may also be provided.
