The Government of India, in accordance with Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2000, has extended the term of Shri S.A.T. Rizvi, IAS (Retd.) as the Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh. This extension, effective from January 1, 2009, for a period of six months, is a continuation of a previous order dated December 6, 2007. The committee assists the Central Government with functions related to State Government employees, excluding those in All India Services. The terms and conditions of Shri Rizvi’s appointment will remain the same.

ORDER
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2000 and in continuation of this Department’s order of even number dated 6.12.2007, the Government of India is pleased to extend the terms of Shri S.A.T. Rizvi, IAS (Retd.)(UP-1965) as the Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh to assist the Central Government in discharging its functions with regard to the State Government employees, other than All India Services, for a further period of six months w.e.f. 01.01 .2009 .
The terms of his appointment would remain unchanged.
