This Department is in process of amendment of Central Information Commission (Staff Car Drivers) Recruitment Rules, 2011. G.S.R. In exercise of the Powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (d) of sub-section (2) of section 27 of the Right to Information Act,2005,(22 of 2005), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Central Information Commission (Staff Car Drivers) recruitment Rules, 2011 namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.-
(1) These rules may be called the Central Information Commission (Staff Car Drivers) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Number of post, classification and Pay Band and grade pay or Pay Scale.- The number of post, their classification and the Pay band and grade pay or pay scale attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules.
3. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications etc.- The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule.
4. Initial Constitution.- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the provisions of these Rules, the persons holding the post of Staff Car Driver on the date of commencement of these rules on deputation basis and who fulfil the qualifications and experience laid down in these rules and who are considered suitable, shall be eligible for absorption in the respective grades subject to condition that such persons exercise their option for the absorption and that their parent Departments do not have any objection to their being absorbed in the Central Information Commission.
(2) The seniority of officers mentioned in sub-rule (1) shall be determined with reference to the dates of their regular appointment to the posts concerned.
5. Disqualification. – No person,-
Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:6. Power to relax.- Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with Union Public Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.
7. Saving.- Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, ex-Serviceman and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard.# SCHEDULE
