Rajya Sabha Secretariat Office Memorandum: Shifting of Question Hour

The Chairman of Rajya Sabha has directed a change in the timings for Question Hour, effective March 7, 2011. The new schedule will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Mondays through Thursdays, and from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM on Fridays. This revised timing will apply for the remainder of the current session. The document also notes that the timing for submitting sets of answers to questions will remain unchanged.

SUBJECT: SHIFTING OF QUESTION HOUR FROM 7TH MARCH ONWARDS

The undersigned is directed to inform that on 4th March, 2011, the Hon.ble Chairman, Rajya Sabha has directed that under Rule 38 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Council of States, Question Hour from 7th March, 2011 would be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM from Monday to Thursday and from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM on Friday.

This arrangement will be in force for the remaining sittings of the First Part of the Current Session.

It is further informed that the timing of supply of sets of answers to questions would remain the same.
