G

This document reiterates the importance of strengthening the public grievances redressal mechanism by implementing a “Meeting-less Day” every Wednesday in the Central Secretariat. From 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on this day, all officers at the Deputy Secretary level and above are required to be in their offices to attend to public grievances. Inter-ministerial meetings are to be avoided on Wednesdays, though urgent intra-ministerial meetings can be scheduled after 1:00 pm. Ministries and departments are also encouraged to designate a similar meeting-less day for their subordinate offices. Clear instructions are to be given to receptionists and security personnel to facilitate public access to officers on this designated day, ensuring a more responsive administration through regular dialogue with citizens.
