Cadre Clearance Granted for Foreign Assignment to Precursor Expert at UNODC Vienna

This office memorandum announces the approval of cadre clearance for Sh. OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject:- Grant of cadre clearance to Sh. Rajesh Nandan Srivastava, IRS (C\&CE:92), to take up foreign assignment as Precursor Expert (Job Code: DRUG CONTROL AND CRIME PREVENTION OFFICER) in the Precursor Control Section (PRE) of the Secretariat of the International Narcotics Control Board (SINCB) in the Division for Treaty Affairs (DTA), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Vienna, Austria for a period of one year-reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to the Ministry of Home Affairs’ OM No. I-12023/27/2019-NCB.II, dated 15/05/2020 on the subject cited above and to say that the competent authority has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for grant of cadre clearance to Sh. Rajesh Nandan Srivastava, IRS (C\&CE:92) to take up foreign assignment as Precursor Expert (Job Code: DRUG CONTROL AND CRIME PREVENTION OFFICER) in the |Precursor Control Section (PRE) of the Secretariat of the International Narcotics Control Board (SINCB) in the Division for Treaty Affairs (DTA), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Vienna, Austria for a period of one year from the date of assumption of charge of the post.
2. It is requested that a copy of the orders relieving Sh. Rajesh Nandan Srivastava, IRS (C\&CE:92) for the foreign assignment along with a copy of terms and conditions may be sent to this Department for information and records.
3. It may also be noted that the deputationist officer is deemed to have been relieved on the date of expiry of the deputation period unless the competent authority has with requisite approvals, extended the period of deputation, in writing, prior to its date of expiry. In the event of the officer overstaying for any reason whatsoever, he/she is liable for disciplinary action and other adverse Civil/Service consequences which would include the period of overstay not being counted for service for the purpose of pension and that any increment due during the period of overstay being deferred with cumulative effect, till the date on which the officer rejoins in his/her parent cadre. Proceedings for deemed resignation from service would also be initiated. This may be brought to the notice of the officer.
