A recent update has been issued concerning the inter-cadre deputation of Ms. Sowjanya, an IAS officer from the 2003 Uttarakhand batch. Earlier, her deputation from the Uttarakhand cadre to the Karnataka cadre was approved for a period of five years, based on compelling family commitments. This decision has now been modified. The duration of her deputation has been revised from the initial five years down to three years, as communicated through an official corrigendum from the Department of Personnel & Training, acting under the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
