Order Regarding Curtailment of Inter-Cadre Deputation of IAS Officer Mohammad Shahid

O

A recent government directive has altered the service tenure of a senior administrative officer. Mr. Mohammad Shahid, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Gujarat cadre, whose services were previously deputed to Uttarakhand, has had this inter-cadre assignment curtailed. This decision follows a withdrawal of consent from the Government of Gujarat regarding the deputation. Consequently, the officer has been directed to report back to his previous posting within the central government, specifically the Ministry of Water Resources, with immediate effect. This immediate reposting ensures continuity in his service within the federal administrative framework, emphasizing the dynamic nature of civil service appointments and transfers under existing cadre rules.
