Provisions for Inter-Cadre Transfer Policy for Government Officers

P

Exciting news for government officers! Recent updates to the inter-cadre transfer policy aim to streamline the process and offer more clarity. One significant change addresses situations where an officer cannot opt for their spouse’s home cadre. In such cases, officers now have the flexibility to select their immediate next preferred cadre, as indicated in their initial UPSC application, provided it’s below their currently allotted cadre. Another crucial provision clarifies what happens if preferences aren’t submitted on time. If officers miss the stipulated deadline, they will be assigned to the cadre with the most significant deficit. This assignment is contingent on receiving a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from both their parent cadre and the prospective recipient cadre. These provisions are designed to ensure fairness and administrative efficiency in cadre allocation, making the transfer process more transparent for all involved.
