In a recent administrative decision, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a significant extension for an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. Shri N. Sridhar Rao, an officer from the 1994 batch originally from the Sikkim cadre, will continue his inter-cadre deputation to the Andhra Pradesh cadre for an additional two years. This extends his service in Andhra Pradesh beyond the initial one-year period that concluded in February 2017. The extension was granted on the grounds of personal hardship, highlighting a compassionate approach within the government’s personnel management.
