The government has recently approved the extension of a key administrative deputation, allowing a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, Shri Ashish Singhmar, from the 2008 Himachal Pradesh cadre, to continue his service in the Jharkhand cadre. This inter-cadre transfer, initially approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, will now be extended for an additional two years, continuing beyond February 25, 2017. The communication regarding this extension has been widely circulated to relevant offices, including the Prime Minister’s Office, the Home Minister’s office, the Cabinet Secretariat, and the Chief Secretaries of both Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand, among others, to facilitate a smooth transition and continued administrative support.
