In a recent administrative decision, a proposal concerning the inter-cadre deputation of an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer has not been approved. The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change had sought to transfer Shri Saroj Bhai Patel, a 2010 batch IFS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre, to the Jharkhand cadre. However, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, after reviewing the request, has declined this proposal, meaning the officer’s inter-cadre transfer will not proceed as initially put forth.
