NOTIFICATION
In pursuance of the order dated 01.02 .2010 passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Punjab \& Haryana in CWP No. 15798/2009 filed by Shri Parveen Kumar Versus UPSC \& Others and confirmed by Hon’ble Supreme Court vide their order dated $31^{\text {st }}$ May, 2010 in SLP No. 14002/2010 filed by Department of Personnel \& Training V5 Parveen Kumar and others, and in exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 8(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recrui nent) Rules, 1954 read with Regulation 9(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955 and Rule 3 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 and in partial modification of earlier notification issued on $13^{\text {th }}$ August, 2009 notifying the appointment of State Civil Service officers included in the Select List of 2007, tise President is pleased to appoint the following members of the State Civil Service of Punjab 😮 the Indian Administrative Service against the vacancies determined by Government of India under Regulation 5(1) of the said Regulations in consultation with the State Government on the basis of inclusion of their names in the Review Select List for the year 2007 (for the vacancies occurring from 01.01 .2006 to 31.12 .2006 ) on probation until further orders and to allocate them to Punjab Cadre of IAS, under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954 :-

- The appointment of Sh. Parveen Kumar to IAS is sirictly in pursuance of directions of Hon’ble High Court of Punjab \& Haryana as contained in their order dated $1^{\text {st }}$ February, 2010 in CWP No. 15798/2009 as confirmed by Hon’ble Supreme Court vide their order dated $31^{\text {st }}$ May, 2010 in SLP No. 14002/2010 in the ratter of Department of Personnel \& Training Vs. Parveen Kumar \& Others.
- In the light of directions of Hon’ble High Court of Punjab \& Haryana and Hon’ble Supreme Court the appointments notified earlier on $13^{\text {th }}$ August, 2009 from the Select List for the year 2007 stands modified to the above extent.
