The Government of India, through the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, has approved an extension for Shri P.B. Salim, an IAS officer from the West Bengal cadre, to continue his deputation in the Kerala cadre. This extension is for a period of six months, running from June 15, 2011, until December 15, 2011. The decision was made in accordance with Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, and with the agreement of the state governments of West Bengal and Kerala. Copies of this notification have been forwarded to various officials and departments, including the Chief Secretaries of both West Bengal and Kerala, the Accountant Generals of both states, and Shri P.B. Salim himself, who has been cautioned about disciplinary action if he fails to hand over charge at the end of the extended deputation period. The notification is also to be published in the Gazette of India and placed on the official website.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954 and with the concurrence of the Governments of West Bengal and Kerala, the Central Govt. hereby accords approval for extension of inter cadre deputation of Shri P.B.
