In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, read with rule 9 of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, and rule 5 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, the President, in consultation with the State Government, hereby appoints the following members of the Maharashtra State Civil Service to the Indian Administrative Service, on probation, until further orders, against the vacancies in the Indian Administrative Service determined by the Government of India for the year 2009. These officers are also allocated to the Maharashtra Cadre in terms of sub-rule (1) of rule 5 of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954. The list includes names of officers appointed against the vacancies of 2009.

भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (पदान्तनि द्वारा नियुक्ति) विनियागावली, 1955 के विनियम, 5 (1) तथा भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (परिवीक्षा) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 5 के साथ पटित भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (भर्ती) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 6(1) द्वारा पटत्न शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, राष्ट्रपति, चयन सूची 2009 हेतु राज्य सरकार के परामर्श से उक्त विनियागावली के विनियम 5(1) के अंतर्गत भारत सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित रिक्तियों पर भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा से महाराष्ट्र राज्य लिखित सेवा संयंत्र के निम्नलिखित सदस्यों को, अगले आदेशों तक, परिवीक्षा पर नियुक्त करती है तथा भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (संयंत्र) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 5(1) के अंतर्गत महाराष्ट्र संयंत्र से उनका आवंटन करती है :-
