Indian Forest Service (Probation) Amendment Rules, 2009

I

The Central Government, in consultation with State Governments, has issued amendments to the Indian Forest Service (Probation) Rules, 1968. These amendments, called the Indian Forest Service (Probation) Amendment Rules, 2009, stipulate that a probationer must undergo specific training within the probation period or its extension. This training can be undertaken at the Academy, State Training Institutions, or any other recognized training institution in the country, for a duration deemed necessary by the Central Government. Failure to complete this mandatory training within the specified period will result in the probationer being reverted to their substantive post in the State Forest Service. The rules come into force upon their publication in the Official Gazette.
