The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in consultation with the Government of Tripura, has issued the Indian Police Service (Pay) Second Amendment Rules, 2013. These rules, effective from December 24, 2012, amend the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 2007. The key changes involve the substitution of entries in “Schedule II-A – Posts carrying pay above the time scale of pay of the Indian Police Service under the State Government” and “Schedule II-B – Posts carrying pay in the Senior Scale of the Indian Police Service under the State Government”. The amendments specifically update the pay scales and designations for various police posts within Tripura, including the Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police, Inspector General of Police, and Deputy Inspector General of Police, along with their respective pay bands and grade pays. G.S.R. 608(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (LXI of 1951), the Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Tripura hereby makes the following Rules further to amend the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 2007, namely: 1
(i) These rules may be called the Indian Police Service (Pay) Second Amendment Rules, 2013
(ii) They shall come into force from 24.12.2012.
2 In the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 2007 –
(a) In “Schedule II-A – Posts carrying pay above the time scale of pay of the Indian Police Service under the State Government” in the Table, for the entry “Manipur-Tripura” occurring in the first column and the corresponding entries in the second column, the following shall be substituted namely: “TRIPURA
