New amendments have been made to the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, through the Indian Police Service (Probation) Amendment Rules, 2015. These new rules, effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, introduce a proviso to rule 5, sub-rule (4). This proviso states that probationers with less than four years of service remaining until superannuation, or those who have completed mid-career training program category III after induction, may be exempted from nomination for induction training. In such cases, the conditions of the original proviso will not apply.

सा.का.नि.668(अ).—केंद्र सरकार, अखिल भारतीय सेवा अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 61) की धारा 3 की उप-धारा (1) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, राज्य सरकारों के परामर्श से भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (परिवीक्षा) नियमावली, 1954 में और संशोधन के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है, नामतः-
- (i) इन नियमों का नाम भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (परिवीक्षा) संशोधन नियमावली, 2015 है।
- (ii) ये शासकीय राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे।
- भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (परिवीक्षा) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 5, उप-नियम (4) में प्रथम परंतुक के बाद निम्नलिखित परंतुक जोड़ा जाएगा, नामतः-
परंतु शर्त यह है कि भारतीय पुलिस सेवा में अपने प्रवेशन के समय किसी परिवीक्षाधीन आधिकारी की सेवानिवृत्ति की आयु का समय 4 वर्ष से कम हो या वह प्रवेशन के बाद करिअर मध्य प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम श्रेणी-III में शामिल हुआ हो, उसे प्रवेशन प्रशिक्षण के लिए नामित न किया जाए और वैसी स्थिति में इस परंतुक में निहित कोई बात लागू नहीं होगी।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th August, 2015
G.S.R.668(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All Jndia Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), the Central Government, after consultation with the State Governments, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, namely:-
- (1) These rules may be called the Indian Police Service (Probation) Amendment Rules, 2015.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. - in the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, in rule 5, in sub-rule (4) after the first proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
“Provided further that a probationer who has less than four years of service for retirement on superannuation at the time of his induction into Indian Police Service or has undergone mid-career training programme category III after induction, may not be nominated for Induction training and in such cases nothing contained in the first proviso shall apply.”
