The Central Government has approved the extension of the inter-cadre deputation of Shri Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Uttarakhand cadre, to the Punjab cadre. This extension is granted as a special case, extending his deputation from July 2010 by two months, until September 2010. The order is issued under the provisions of Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954.

भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (संवर्ग) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 6(1) द्वारा प्रदत्त
सक्रियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्र सरकार, श्री सुखबीर सिंह सन्धू, भा.प्र.से.
(उत्तराखण्ड:88) को उत्तराखण्ड संवर्ग से पंजाब संवर्ग में अन्तर-संवर्ग प्रतिनियुक्ति को
जुलाई 2010 से आगे दो महीने अर्थात सितम्बर 2010 तक के लिए एक विशेष मांगने
के रूप में बढ़ाने का अनुमोदन देती है।
