ORDER

The Government of Gujarat vide their letter no. AIS/162016/292/G dated 5.1.206 have sent a proposal for fixation of seniority of IAS officers appointed on promotion from SCS on the basis of inclusion of their names in the select list of 2014. These officers have been appointed to IAS vide this Department’s notification No. 14015/06/2014-AISI(B) dated 30.12.2015.
2. The Seniority /year of allotment of these officers has been computed under Rule 3(3) (ii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority), Rules 1987 as amended from time to time. As per relevant rules weightage works out:-

  • Seniority /year of allotment of officers in the select list of 1997 has been restricted under proviso to Rule 3(3) (ii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rule, 1987. 3.1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officer whose names have been mentioned at SI. No. 1 to 3 of the select list of 2014 shall be placed below Shri Sandeep Janardan Sangle, the junior most RR IAS officer of 2007 batch and above, Shri H.R. Suthar, promotee IAS (Non SCS) officer of 2007 batch of Gujarat cadre. 3.2 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officer whose names have been mentioned at SI. No. 4 to12 of the select list of 2014 shall be placed below Dr Ranjit Kumar Singh, the junior most RR IAS officer of 2008 batch and above, Dr. Kuldeep Arya, senior most RR IAS officer of 2009 batch of Gujarat cadre.
