ORDER
The Government of Karnataka vide their letter no. DPAR 481 SAS 2015 dated 24.1.2017 have requested for fixation of seniority/year of allotment of officer, who has been appointed to IAS from Non-SCS category for the Select List year 2014-A vide this DOPT’s Notification No. 14015015/11/2014-AIS(I) B dated 05.02.2016.
2. The Seniority /year of allotment of one officer viz. Shri K.G. Shantharam appointed to IAS under Non-SCS category for the Select List 2014-A has been computed under Rule 3(3) (iii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority), Rules 1987, as amended vide Notification No.14014/4/2011-AIS-I dated 5.5.2016 (page 85-87/c)and other relevant rules. Modified Weightage formula is now as under:-

3.1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officer whose name has been mentioned at SI. No. 1 of the Select List of 2014-A shall be placed below Shri M.G. Hiremath, the junior most promotee IAS officer of 2010 batch appointed by Select List of 2014(Non-SCS category) and above Shri Abhiram G. Sankar, senior most RR IAS officer of 2011 batch of Karnataka cadre.
4. The order may be conveyed to the concerned officer.
