ORDER
The Government of Maharashtra vide their letter No. AIS-1017/CR.215/2017/X dated 25.05.2017 has requested for fixation of seniority/year of allotment of officers, who were appointed to IAS by promotion (against SCS quota) on basis of Select List of 2016 vide DOPT’s notification No 14015/14/2017-AIS-(I)B(1) dated 12.04.2017 and 23.05.2017.
- The same has been considered and computed under Rule 3(3)(ii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority), Rules 1987 and other relevant Rules as amended from time to time. As per relevant rules weightage formula is given below:-

- The seniority /year of allotment officers are restricted as per proviso to Rule 3(3)(ii) of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules. 1987.
- 1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officer whose name has been mentioned at SI. No. 1 of the select list of 2016 shall be placed below Shri A.N. Karanjkar, Junior most promote IAS officer of 2009 batch and above Shri Vivek L. Bhimanwar, the senior most promotee IAS officer(Non-SCS category) of 2009 batch of Maharashtra cadre.
- 2 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officers whose name has been mentioned at SI. No. 2 to 13 of the select list of 2016 shall be placed enbloc below Shri Rahul Dwivedi, Junior most RR IAS officer of 2010 batch and above Shri Rahul Ashok Rekhawar, the senior most RR IAS officer of 2011 batch of Maharashtra cadre.
