No.14014/12/2006-AIS-I Government of India Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Department of Personnel and Training Dated 27.09.2017 ORDER The Government of Gujarat vide their letter no. AIS/16.2017/485902/G dated 11.9.2017 have sent a proposal for fixation of seniority of IAS officers appointed on promotion from State Civil Service on the basis of inclusion of their names in the Select List of 2016. These officers have been appointed to IAS vide this Department’s Notification No. 14015/06/2016-AIS-(I)-B (1) and 14015/06/2016-AIS-(I)-B (2) dated 08.09.2017. 2. The Seniority /year of allotment of these officers has been computed under Rule 3(3) (ii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority), Rules 1987 as amended from time to time. As per relevant rules weightage works out:-

- As per proviso to Rule 3(ii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, year of allotment of officer mentioned at SI. No. 1 in the select list of 2016 has been restricted.
3.1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officers whose names have been mentioned at SI. No. 1 to 6 in the Select list of 2016 shall be placed below Shri R.R. Raval, junior most promotee IAS officer of 2009 batch (SCS quota of SL of 2015) and above Shri Dholi Sunil Kr. Hiralal, senior most promotee IAS officer of 2009 batch (Non-SCS Category – SL of 2014 ) of Gujarat cadre.
- The order may be conveyed to the concerned officers.
