Appointment of State Civil Services Officers to IAS – Seniority and Allotment

A

This order details the computation of seniority and year of allotment for State Civil Services officers (Non-SCS category) appointed to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the Tamil Nadu Cadre. The process is based on the Select List 2017 and relevant IAS regulations, specifically Rule 3(3)(iii) of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, as amended. The document outlines the weightage formula used to determine seniority, provides a list of officers with their qualifying service details, and specifies the order of placement within the IAS hierarchy. It also addresses restrictions on the year of allotment to ensure it doesn’t precede that of senior officers. Finally, it directs the communication of the order to the concerned officers and relevant authorities.
