NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, the Central Government hereby accords approval to the proposal for Inter cadre deputation of Sh. Prateek Hajela, IAS (AM:1995) from Assam-Meghalaya cadre to Madhya Pradesh cadre for a period of three years in relaxation of the extant guidelines from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier in compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order dated 18.10.2019 in WP(C) 274/2009.

  2. The Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, Dispur – 781006 w.r.t. letter No. AAI.31/96/156 dated 23.10.2019 with the request to relieve the officer immediately under intimation to this Department.

  3. The Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya, Shillong – 793001 w.r.t. letter No. PER.36/2017/Pt./65 dated 23.10.2019.

  4. The Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal – 462004, w.r.t. letter No. ₹-1/426/2019/5/ एक dated 23.10.2019. It is requested to kindly send the copy of joining report of the officer to this Department. It is further requested to ensure that the officer is relieved immediately at the end of the approved tenure of inter-cadre deputation. The officer shall be liable to disciplinary action & break in Service, in case he does not hand over charge at the end of the approved period of deputation.

  5. The Accountant General, Government of Assam, Dispur – 781006.

  6. The Accountant General, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal – 462004 with the request to stop payment of salary to the officer beyond the approved period of deputation.

  7. Shri Prateek Hajela, IAS (AM:95) (through the Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, Dispur – 781006). You shall be liable to disciplinary action & break in service in terms of DOPT O.M. No. 13017/08/2002-AIS.I dated 14.08.2013 and No. 13017/05/2013-AIS.I dated 11.11.2017, in case you do not hand over charge at the end of the approved period of deputation.

  8. The Registrar General of India, Office of The Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India, NDCC-II Bldg, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi -110001 with the request to place the notification before the Hon’ble Supreme Court on or before the next date of hearing.

  9. The Deputy Secretary (SM), w.r.t. ID note No. 37/37/2019-EO (SM-I), dated 31.10.2019.
