Consequent upon appointment into IAS on the basis of inclusion of the name of Shri Dhimantkumar Bharatkumar Vyas of Gujarat Cadre for the Select List 2019 (Non- SCS Category) vide this Department’s Notification No. 14015/06/2019-AIS-(I)-B dated 27.01.2020 and on receipt of the proposal from the Government of Gujarat vide their letter No. AIS-16.2020-158419-G dated 03.02.2020, the Seniority /year of allotment of the officer has been computed under Rule 3(3) (iii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority), Rules 1987, as amended Notification No.14014/4/2011-AIS-I dated 05.05.2016 and other relevant rules. The weightage formula is as under:-

No.1 in the Select List of 2019 (Non-SCS Category) has been restricted under provisions of the rule 3(3)(ii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987 which provide that an officer shall not be assigned year of allotment earlier than year of allotment assigned to other officer senior to him in that Select List or appointed on the basis of earlier Select List.

2.1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officer whose name has been mentioned at SI. No.1 in the table of the Select list 2019 (Non-SCS Category) shall be placed below Shri Mayur K. Mehta, junior most promotee IAS officer of 2014 batch (SL-2018, Non-SCS Category) and above Ms. Ananya Das, senior most RR IAS officer of 2015 batch of Gujarat cadre.
