ORDER

Consequent upon appointment of Smt. Padma Basavanthappa, officer of State Civil Service to IAS of Karnataka cadre on the basis of declaration of her name ‘Unconditional and Final’ by the UPSC in the Select List from 2020 vide this Department’s Notification No.14015/11/2021-AIS-(I)-B dated 15.02.2022 and also appointment of officers of State Civil Service to IAS of Karnataka cadre on the basis of inclusion of their names in the Select List 2021 vide this Department’s notification No.14015/11/2022-AIS-(I)-B dated 08.08.2022 and on receipt of proposal from the Government of Karnataka vide their letter No. eDPAR 41 SAS 2022 dated 15.09.2022, the seniority/year of allotment of these officers has been computed under Rule 3(3)(ii) of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, and other relevant rules as amended from time to time. The weightage formula is as under:

Collector or equivalent till 31st December of the year for which the meeting of the committee to make selection was held to prepare the Select List on the basis of which the said officers were appointed to IAS (Fractions if any, are to be granted), i.e. on 31.12.2020. Total weightage in years in terms of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987 as amended from time to time. No. 1 in the additional Select list of 2020 (SCS Category) shall be placed below Shri Ibrahim Maigur, promotee IAS officer of 2017 batch (Select List 2020) and above Shri S. Ukesh Kumar, senior most RR IAS officer of 2018 batch of Karnataka cadre.

3.1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officers whose names have been mentioned at SI. No. 1 to 5 in the Select list of 2021 (SCS Category) shall be placed below Shri Rahul Ratnam Pandey, junior most RR IAS officer of 2018 batch and above Shri Vamit Negi, senior most RR IAS officer of 2019 batch of Karnataka cadre.
