The President of India has approved the appointment of three distinguished officers from the Non-State Civil Service of Tamil Nadu to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service. These appointments, made under the provisions of the Indian Administrative Service Rules, are for the Select List of 2023, covering vacancies that arose between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023. The newly appointed officers, S. Malathi Helen, G. Ravikumar, and N. Mirunalini, will be allocated to the Tamil Nadu Cadre and will serve on probation until further orders. This significant move aims to strengthen the administrative machinery in Tamil Nadu by bringing in experienced personnel. Government authorities, including the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, the Union Public Service Commission, and the LBSNAA, have been informed to initiate necessary procedures for seniority fixation and other administrative requirements.

No. ………In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 8(2) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954 read with Regulation 8 of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Selection) Regulations, 1997 and Rule 3 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, the President is pleased to appoint the following members of the Non-State Civil Service of Tamil Nadu to the Indian Administrative Service against the vacancies determined by Government of India under Regulation 3 of the said Regulations in consultation with the State Government for the Select List of 2023, on probation until further orders and to allocate them to the Tamil Nadu Cadre under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954:-
