The Central Government, in consultation with the state governments of Maharashtra, Assam, and Meghalaya, has announced the inter-cadre transfer of an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Ms. Vevotolu Kezo, an IAS officer from the 2023 Maharashtra batch, has been transferred from the Maharashtra cadre to the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, specifically the Meghalaya segment. This administrative decision, effective January 13, 2025, has been made in accordance with sub-rule (2) of Rule 5 of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, demonstrating a standard procedure for civil service postings.
