E

In a recent development concerning civil services, an esteemed officer, Shri Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan from the 2016 Indian Administrative Service batch, has received an extension for his inter-cadre deputation. Originally serving in the Rajasthan cadre, the officer’s tenure with the AGMUT Cadre, specifically for the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, has been prolonged for an additional year beyond February 15, 2025. This extension, notably granted in relaxation of existing policy, underscores the administrative discretion available for crucial postings. Authorities have also issued clear directives to all relevant departments and the officer himself, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the new tenure end date to avoid any disciplinary actions or breaks in service.
