Exciting news for several dedicated officers in Arunachal Pradesh! A recent directive has formalized the appointment of State Civil Service personnel to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS) within the Joint AGMUT Cadre. This pivotal move outlines the meticulous process of determining their seniority and year of allotment, a critical factor for their career progression. The appointments are based on the Select Lists of both 2021 and 2022, recognizing years of continuous service within the state’s civil administration. Under the established seniority rules, a precise weightage formula is applied to ensure fair and consistent placement. For instance, officers like Phunchu Norbu Thungon and Sumedha Yadav from the 2021 list, and Duly Kamduk and Mamata Riba from the 2022 list, have had their seniority carefully calculated. This ensures these newly inducted IAS officers are appropriately positioned alongside their counterparts, with their inter-se-seniority to be further clarified by the Cadre Controlling Authority. This development marks a significant career milestone for the individuals involved, reinforcing the structured progression within India’s top administrative services.
