Extension of Inter Cadre Deputation Tenure for IAS Officer Shri Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid

E

In a recent administrative decision, the Central Government has approved the continuation of a key personnel posting. Shri Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid, an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2017 batch, will see his inter-cadre deputation extended. Originally from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, he will remain in the AGMUT Cadre, specifically serving in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, for an additional year beyond July 7, 2025. This extension is notable as it has been granted in relaxation of the prevailing policy. Authorities have issued clear directives regarding the transition, emphasizing that the officer must be promptly relieved at the conclusion of this approved extended period. It is also stipulated that any failure to hand over charge on time will lead to disciplinary action and a break in service, with salary payments ceasing after the approved deputation tenure.
