Appointment and Seniority of State Civil Service Officers to IAS (Himachal Pradesh Cadre)

A

Exciting developments are underway within the Indian Administrative Service, particularly for the Himachal Pradesh Cadre! Recently, several dedicated officers from the State Civil Service have been appointed to the prestigious IAS. This significant move follows their inclusion in the 2023 Select List, a rigorous process guided by the Department of Personnel & Training. The seniority and year of allotment for these newly inducted IAS officers have been meticulously calculated based on the comprehensive IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, alongside subsequent amendments. A specific weightage formula, which considers completed years of qualifying service, was applied to ensure fair and accurate placement. These officers will be strategically placed within the cadre, specifically below the junior-most RR IAS officers of the 2019 and 2020 batches for Himachal Pradesh, ensuring a structured integration into the service. This announcement marks a crucial step in their careers and strengthens the administrative framework of the state.
